Can you add transmission fluid to a 2013 dodge avenger with out taking it to
shop

If you don't have a transmission dip stick you can jack up the car and find the fill plug on the side of the transmission. You will need a manual oil pump to put fluid in. Any decent auto parts store will have oil pumps that fit in a gallon oil bottle.

WoW. The answer to this question is yes. I'm assuming you have the 3.6L and not the 2.4L All you'd have to do is simply use the service port that usually says "For Service Technicians Only" or similar. However, you need to be more concerned of why manufacturers didnt make it easily accessible for you. Fluid level should not be adjusted without proper diagnosis. Doing so could cause irreparable damage to your transmission.
