2013 Chevy Equinox exhast cam shaft sensor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had the engine light come on and it was diagnosed as the cam shaft exhaust sensor.  I changed it and the light stayed on even after driving it.  I changed it again and the light was still on.  The guy at the parts store suggested running seafoam through the engine and gas.  Is there something else that could be making that code come up?  I have done regular maintenance on my vehicle for the last 5 years. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
