Owner of 2013 Sonata GLS. Is it ok to have the "Eco" on at all times?

On my car Eco is a setting on the CCC and it is designed to be used all the time for more efficient gas mileage because it inhibits a/c use.

By all means leave it in echo. It sets the shift points closer together so you get to the highest far s soon as possible. On some models it retards the throttle response so you get the best mileage, but not necessarily the most fun. Also depending on the car, it moderates the climate control system for better mileage but sometimes at the expense of cooling. Sometimes,, a feeling that is that the act of pushing the accelerator pedal lacks the response you might normally expect. Don't forget, you can vary the settings to liven things up. But to answer your question, yes you can leave it in echo.
Eco on mine is for the Climate Control Centre , don't tell me they have one for gas consumption too. I'd like to learn more please.
It depends on the car Chassy. Some eco buttons just regulate the climate control system. However, there are cars that actually change the transmission mapping, the pedal response (making it harder to push thus theoretically saving fuel) and a few other things as well. Some cars gave slats in the front bumper that automatically open and close to achieve the desired results. You can check your owners manual to see what your echo button does. Remember, every car is different. Can you do me a favor and let me know what your eco button activates? It's still ok to drive with it on. Depending on where you live, you might want to see if echo cools enough. If not, go to regular mode.
My Eco is on the C.C.C. and the other setting is Auto, and yes it is fine to run it all the time in Eco unless you want a/c. I am amazed at the system you described- wow!
