Replacement check engine light fuse

That dealer should fix this for free after all you said they repaired ALL the problems and the lite would turn off and it didn't, If they refuse to do anything ask them for the number used to report issues to GM that may jog them a bit, if not use the number in the back of your owners manual, call the number then find a reputable mechanic, word of mouth is best because big ads mean big overhead hence big repair bills just sayin

answer don't buy a chev .We have a chev sonic and it cant even go a few months of easy driving before the light comes on.I or any member of my friends and anyone I tell NOT to buy any chev ever again.They are pure junk unreliable garbage should be all burned.Chev should be ashamed to make such a rip off kinda car.No wonder they need bail out this is why

I don’t know I’ve had my sonic for a few years now and no issues, I don’t really see them as being a terrible car. My check engine light came on b/c of low coolant, just need to reset the light is all.

I have a 2016 Sonic and each time the check engine light comes on the problem code is for a cooling system. I have had the thermostat replaced 3 times. Twice by Chevy and once by my mechanic. The light just came back on AGAIN!!!

You should not have to pay for a service which was diagnosed incorrectly or missed. You can file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection in your area (every state has one). My check engine light went on about 2 weeks ago. Have 2013 Sonic. Firestone & McCarthy Tires both said it was a thermostat sensor but it is not a hazard or problem. I do not have a thermostat/coolant leak or other issue. But I do not like the light on and will consult with a dealership and check for recalls. I love my car; have it 1.5 years without any major issues. I do not want to spend money on a non-issue problem and replace a sensor if it can't be replaced as a single item, instead of a whole unit.
