2013 Ford Edge Limited Rear Turn Signals Stopped Working. (bulbs and fuses good)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last night 3 of my turn signals went out. My Front Passenger, and Both Rear Turn Signal Light will not blink. I have checked the 15 amp fuses (13 & 14) for my left and right turn signals, and they are fine (replaced them with new anyway).
So I went to check the bulbs: Front Bulbs I swapped out, Driver for Passenger and I have the same problem. Bulbs work fine on the Driver side, just don't flash on the Passenger side or Rears. Both Mirror signals work, and the 4-way flasher only blinks the mirrors and Driver Front.

I'm at a loss here because my bulbs are good, and my fuses are good. Looking for grounds now, but I want to hear if anyone can help or knows what is going on.

Are you getting voltage on the fuse terminals? Both sides of fuse making contact in the slots? Any green crusties under fuse box or chewed wires?

No green crusties. This vehicle only has 30,000 on it. I baby the hell out of it. Every single connection is bright flashy clean metal. Same with the fuses. It can't be the fuses anyway because the mirrors signals are all connected to the fuses. Not sure if this has a relay somewhere that is bad. I can find a blue FoMoCo turn signal relay online, but I can't find its location on the vehicle. Looking all over under the dash to no avail. And I'm not sure grounds are bad either, becuase the lights work when the running lights are on, they just don't blink with the turn switch is on.

Sorry to say it like this...you could have 1 mile on the vehicle and have chewed wires in a body cavity that you cannot see and the wire is shorting up against the body or frame. I have seen cars with less than 1,000 miles have these issues. Do your checks with a voltmeter. Visual inspection can only go so far

I have seen wires that look perfect and the resistance is soo high that it is almost like the wire is not there. You have to Remember also it is cold and critters like a warm engine and like the insulation on those wires.

Well, I haven't pronged anything yet. Prongs broke so I put alligator clips on my leads for my multimeter. Still looking for flasher.

Doing some logical thinking, you say 3 turn signals went out. Do you have 4? Why is 1 working and not the other 3? Harbor Freight gives away very competent voltmeters with a free coupon for them. Buy anything and get one free. I believe it is $5.99 if you just want To buy it outright.

Technically I have 6 turn signals: 2 Front, 2 Mirror, and 2 Rear. My Driver Front works, 2 Mirrors work, and Both Rears Out. The dash indicators work, and DO NOT blink fast (indicating a problem). No trouble codes, and so far I have not found any wiring issues. All lights work as running lights, but they DO NOT blink when the signal is on. Only the Front passenger and Mirrors blink. It's crazy. Voltage to the light is fine, just cuts off when signal is turned on. I'm guessing I'm taking it in. Merry Christmas to me LOL!

Bought a wiring diagram, and took it to the dealer. There is no flasher on this year, and everything is controlled by the BCM. All the turn signal wires go to the BCM. The dealer said I have a BCM fault. So replacing and reprogramming and hopefully I'll go from there. Probably sell this vehicle, not worth it.

Marcus, what is a BCM? I have a 2011 and have upgraded to all LED's. I'm getting the fast flash, so I bought a LED Signal relay to replace the stock one. Like you, i've looked under the dash and to no avail can I find the damn thing!
