lights flickering

Asked by pc311 Oct 09, 2007 at 03:52 PM about the 2002 Dodge Dakota SXT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my headlights and interior lights have been flickering on and off and I don't know why.  It doesn't happen consistently but when it does it is non stop.  What can I do?

This could be as simple as needing a new alternator, or as complex as your BCM (body control module) giving up the ghost. Have this diagnosed by a dealership. Once saw a BCM going out that caused the wipers to run non-stop, while another one caused the headlights to flick from high to low beam constantly, and caused interior lights to not function. They can do funny things.
