I replaced the motor and all rollers on my automatic passenger slide door of a 2005 Honda Odyssey. Of course, as the warranty period expired the door only powers intermittently. I have figured out that it's when my battery dies and I need a jump. Yesterday my car got jumped so the door worked only until my son pulled the outside handle. Now it's out again??? It seems this is some kind of code circuit issue. The shop is $80 just to look at it. Help.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had the passenger power slide door motor and rollers replaced on my 05 Honda
Odyssey.  Of course after the warranty expired the door started failing intermittently.  It
seems that when my battery dies the door starts working after the car is jumped.
Yesterday this was the case, but it stopped again after my son used the outside handle.
Now it's out again??? This seems like a code issue, but my shop is $80 just to look at it.
HELP, I have 6 little ones to drop off at school.

it is an odd coincidence that the jumping battery thing is going on. Have the battery load tested and have the alternator tested. not enough power to motors and circuits can do weird things.
