Having serious problems with my 2005 Honda Odyssey

Asked by Guru5YRX9 Dec 30, 2017 at 02:11 PM about the 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD with DVD and Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My problem started with a long  beeping sound that I
could dissing gauge by shutting off the power door switch
to the rear doors. However, now my problem is the right
hand side sliding door works the left hand sliding door
works manually but then doesn’t shut all the way. So now
I’m constantly dealing with the dome lights coming on, the
door becoming a jar every time I hit a bump and on top of
that my  car for the past three days has needed a
jumpstart since the battery is drained. I pulled out two
fuses and make sure that that sliding door is pushed in
every time I lock the car. Battery is fine at night but when I
get ready to use the car the following day, battery is dead
again. Any ideas?

your getting the rear sliding door "jam warning" signal. you said the left door only works manually and wont latch, that's were the problem is. It could be a latch problem, cable, motor or wiring issue.

Look at the electric latch on the door frame. Check to see if one of the pins is bent. Ours was, I broke it off and it works remotely from the dash only, but works and latches, and works manually.
