Jumped off a old truck with my Honda Odyssey 2006

Asked by Supergirlsmom Nov 30, 2020 at 03:41 AM about the 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring FWD with DVD and Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my husband jumped off this truck his boss
loaned him and the next day the van was on
the fritters. Acting weird acting like it was
gonna shut off. I don’t know what is wrong but
I am wondering if that’s why they say don’t
jump off other cars. Can someone maybe help
me the lights were dimming on the van we
managed to get it home but haven’t driven
since that day it barley made it home ? Could
it be the alternator? Has anyone had this
problem

It could be the alternator, but I would first check your post connections and make sure they have good contact. As well as just charge up the battery good. Sometimes jumping someone off will drain yours a bit too much and if you didn't drive it long afterwards your alternator doesn't have time to catch it back up.
