Wiper intermittent function not working

Asked by xefo1000 Nov 08, 2020 at 02:01 AM about the 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L with DVD 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wiper intermittent function not working. Slow speed works. High speed works but not much faster than the slow speed. When you turn the wiper off it will stop without in the middle without reaching all the way to where it should stop. If you pull the arm up it will move a little and so on. I changed the wiper motor, did not work. I changed the wiper signal stick (connected to the steering wheel), did not work. Fuses and were checked. Hope anyone who had similar issue shares their insights.

Actually sounds like the wiper motors may be wearing out....I'd run a T style test lead from battery to test both motors at the same time. (I'd connect them to the motors 1st so that power is supplied simultaneously

Thank you for your reply. As I said, I changed the motor and that did not help. What do you mean by two motors? FYI, the issue is with the front wiper only.

Oh sorry, I'm used to 2 wipers lol and I guess I missed where you mentioned changing the wiper motor
