Won't start after engine is warm

Asked by Pappo66manuel May 25, 2015 at 10:55 AM about the 2003 Dodge Dakota SLT Plus Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck will start up cold, runs a little rough, but after driving it for a while it stutters once you reach high RPMs.  Once you shut it off you have to wait 20-30 minutes before it will start again

If you have a check engine light on, I would get the codes scanned. If not, I would clean the throttle body and Idle Air Control valve for starters. Then I would remove and clean your Mass Air Flow Sensor. If vehicle still stalls out, I would try replacing your ECT sensor.
