what is the diffrence in fuel pumps for 2004 ford explorer

are they interchangeable and can anyone help me with wire diagram for fuel
pump and wire harness

If it's the same engine, it's the same pump. To check, read part number. If different, they're not the same and are not interchangeable. Have a mechanic look at yours and show you.

The fuel pumps are not interchangeable between the 4.0 and 4.6 and you need to know if the vehicle was made before or after March 1, 2004. If made before March 1, 2004 it looks like a jumper harness needs to be removed and the vehicle's wiring harness plugged directly into the new pump. So, again, please do not cut the wiring!! Doing so is asking for problems!! Jim
