Are there Input/Output Sensors on my 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT Coupe with a 2.4L Mitsubishi Motor? If there is will this cause problems resembling a possible transmission problem

The Vehicle will change gears when driven in 1st gear and continue to shift
forward on unless you force it to change gears like accelerating quickly.
