2004 dodge neon sxt 2.0 overheating

Asked by Chance Jan 28, 2024 at 10:59 AM about the 2004 Dodge Neon SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My neon keeps overheating I just rebuilt the
front end replacing the radiator, fans, fuel rail,
filler neck, thermostat, shift solenoid, etc. I’ve
filled the radiator and resivor up completely and
it keeps overheating. I’ve checked the radiator
and hoses for leaks I’ve pulled the plugs to see
if there was any residue from a head gasket
nothing is adding up. Any ideas?

My first guess is a bad water pump, and that's easy to check. Next would be a check of fan operation.
