Service engine light/ air conditioner

When my service engine soon light starts flashing
the air conditioner stops blow cold air and when
the light stops flashing it starts blowing cold air
again. Why?

Under an extreme load the computer will disable the compressor due to you engine faults. Fix the misfire and your AC will work again.
