Durango Multiple Misfire Help?

I have a multiple misfire in my 04 Durango. It was originally a cylinder 5
misfire and I replaced the coil and all 8 plugs (needed it anyway) and the
light went away. It came back on a day or 2 later when I was entering the
expressway and has been on since. When I accelerate past 3000 RPMs the
check engine light blinks about 6-7 times.  Any ideas on the cause? I am
trying to fix it in a money conscious order. It idles rough and you can
certainly feel the misfire.

Did you figure it out? My Durango is doing the same but just got new plugs! It making like a chugging/choking feel and I can smell gas... but still getting the misfire code!

I just had my top end of my 2004 4.7 rebuilt with heads and timing chain, plugs, injectors, and coil packs and mine is saying multiple misfire too. How did you fix yours?
