ticking sound

drives good but its making a ticking sound

That sound might be coming from the lifters and you may notice it speeds up and down with the engine speed. Make sure you have enough engine oil. If you haven't kept up with your oil/filter changes, this would be a good time to do one. If it is your lifters getting noisy, there are additives that help remove sludge while you drive. I like Marvel Mystery Oil @ WalMart...$4 a quart. Don't overfill the oil level.

My 2010 kia only has 90,000 miles. It makes a ticking noise. I was told they all do. Im worried it could be piston? Do not hear it as much while driving. Just at idle. Also calms down when car gets warmed up.
