2011hyundai sante Fe grinding noise after starting up.

Asked by Kaylyn Oct 10, 2016 at 11:10 AM about the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L GLS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car recently began to make a grinding/clicking
noise after starting. It continues until the car has
been on the road for a little bit. Unsure what is
causing this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Need a lot more info, as it can be any number of things. It might be the starter pinion gear not retracting. Could be a bad CV joint. Try to visually inspect the CV boot, if it has a crack or is loose, could allow moisture in and deteriorate joint.
