Cylinders misfire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got an engine light on for few days now. A shop diagnosed it as "multiple
cylinders misfire..". It can be coils, plugs or a fuel filter... I added a fuel filter
chemical cleaner  in the gas tank yesterday. Shaking seems to be better, but
the engines seems to be little bit louder when working. The light is still on. Can
I ignore it for a week or two? Is it safe to drive?

I'm much more inclined to think it would be from plugs, wires, coils, cam/crank/knock sensors before a fuel filter. A dirty fuel filter would lead to stumbling or loss of power, as opposed to multiple cylinder misfires. Give it a tune up first, and also try some injector cleaner, then see what is going on with the misfires.
