Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck is shifting very hard from 1st to 2nd gear. The other gears seem to be working
fine with no trouble in shifting. When shifting into 2nd it is very rough but seems pretty
normal going through the other gears. Could it be a problem with 4wd or the transmission
itself?

Someone else mentioned that it could be due to my vehicle switching back and forth from 4 wheel drive. They said it could get stuck or half engaged and cause a problem. Any info on this?
