2006 Honda Accord power windows

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
How do you stop the power windows from opening on their own while the car
is parked on a 2006 Honda Accord EX w/ Nav. Very unlikely it is accidently
hitting the key fob button, Have had this car since 2014, and this never
happened until a month ago. This has happened 4 times in this month, and
my key fob handling has not changed for the 9 years I have had the car.
What can I do to stop this from happening once and for all!

Could be caused by moisture getting into the window controls, most likely inside the drivers door. Might be a defect in the fob itself. Or you might be hitting window buttons accidentally when you exit the car.

How many times have you run out in the rain to put the windows up ?
So far this has not happened in the rain, however my luck can't last forever. I put a new battery in my key fob today, and even ordered a new key/fob. I will have to take the new key/fob to a lock smith and have the key cut and programed. With luck, if the new battery in the fob does not solve the problem, the new key/fob will. The next step is pull the driver's door panel and see if anything is amiss in there. If still not fixed I think I am just going to get a waterproof tarp!
This actually sounds like the power window safety is messed up. I had a Lexus that had safe power windows so if say a child got his fingers in the window as it was going up it would sense the motor load and would reverse direction if that load had a sudden increase just shy of the fuel up position.
