Is a partially attached catalytic converter essential to driving my car?

Asked by Joshua Jun 21, 2020 at 02:15 PM about the 2002 Honda Accord EX with Leather

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My catalytic converter just rusted off from the back end and is dragging on the
ground. Can I drive with it like this for a while (at least to get it to a shop), or
should I attempt to pull it off? I assume it might come off fairly easy b/c of the
rust.
