NISSAN IS REFUSED TO REPLACE MY CVT TRANSMISSION ON MY 2012 NISSAN SENTRA BECAUSE THEY SAID IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY MILEAGES AT 81000 MILEAGES. DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE OF MAKING THEM RESPONSIBLE ?

CVT transmissions seem to be trouble for several manufacturers. Do research before buying vehicles not afterwards. Also lose the capital letters as they make your post very hard to read.

Your warranty period was 60,000 miles for the CVT, when you purchased your vehicle you where most likely offered an extended option out to 100,000 at an additional cost. You refused and now a major component has failed, as they do on every make and model vehicle. Everyone from Kia to Bugatti have mechanics that are paid very well because crap breaks. Your buying a mass produced part built as cost effective as possible, and rates are near or over $100 per hour labor, let alone the parts. I'd of opted for the warranty, most will cover everything except wearable items and service stuff. As far as them covering it, doubtful especially if you feel entitled to it. You can plead a case that you dont have the money to fix it, Nissan offers hardship waivers and will help you either with discount, or possibly payments or both if you talk to the dealer with respect they will advocate for you. If your an ass, they dont care what you do with it. But like everyone else you are tied to the same contract as they are, if you chose to risk if a car will last over the factory warranty thats the gamble and sometimes you lose.

I have had issues with mone gor about 4 yrs now it would only do on road trips when asked about ot siad oh theres nothing wrong with thats just nissan but now i am told that its the transmission and to get fixed its going to cost me 3400 and thats a rebuilt transmission cause its CVT

I know exactly how you feel. I have the same identical problem with my 2012 Nissan. The transmission is out and it’s going to cost more than I expected. Sorry asses. Nissan refuses to take responsibility for these screwed up CVT transmissions. Mark my word!!! Never again will I come near a Nissan!!

Nissan has also refused to replace my CVT. They are all aware of the issue with their transmissions and do nothing to help the customer. Multiple times I’ve told them my transmission was the issue and they never took my complaint seriously. Now it’s too costly to fix and I will be switching from Nissan.
