My gas light does not come on, but before it does the car shuts down
randomly when gets to the last line, just brought the car and don't know what
to do? Does Jeep 2001 Cherokee have a reserve tank?

Keep gas in it, at least a 1/4 tank. Getting below this is hard on the fuel pump, could burn it out running it with low gas all the time.
