I just replaced
thermostat. Now the
gauge is jumping
around, it will heat up
then cool, if I reduce
speed . turn cold
then overheat, let it
cool down then I get
heat...could it be
water pump?

Sounds like you may not have the cooling system full. Is the overflow tank at the proper level? It should pull more coolant in when the engine cools.

First it overheated after putting thermostat in all the fluid was in resivoir. Bled system..started to heat up what seemed normal, drivec10 ten miles sh heat shot over to cold air. Then prcedeed to over heat..continuous driving gets heat...if you slow down it will get cold, speed up gets hot..the overheats
