I have a dodge magnum recently the street flooded on my job my car stalled to start should i be worried about permanent damage is my check engine light came on

May be all right,could just be a sensor got wet giving you the engine light,try resseting the ECM,by removing positive cable for about thirty minute,s ,should turn the engine light off,if not go have it scanned for free at autozone or advznce auto,to find the issue.
