Radio works/speakers don't

Hi all!
I've got a 2012 Sonata and just this afternoon I've begun experiencing a problem with my radio/speakers. Although the main unit seems to work, i.e., all the radio stations display as normal and the CD indicator shows that the CD is being read by the player, I get no sound of our the speakers.
This problem popped up out of the blue (don't they always), as everything was working great yesterday. I haven't had any work done to the car, aside from washing it. I checked the 'setup' function, but couldn't find anything that looked out of the ordinary.
Thanks in advance for thoughts/suggestions/experiences anyone might have!

Update: I removed the radio fuse for about 60 seconds then put fuse back and voila, the speakers began to work!!!
I have a 2011 it just happened to me too yesterday.. One minute speakers working next NO and haven't worked since. Radio fine ,, speakers not blown just nothing dead air
I'm having a similar issue with my Hyundai Sonata 2012 SE. My sound system seemed to have a short in it cause I would hit a bump and the sound would go out. Then I would hit another bump and it would come back on. Now after weeks of this happening it seems to finally be off for good. I will have to investigate and try this out as well as maybe a connection is loose in the stereo.
Just to the left of the clock button (the clock button is on the left side of the CD feeder tray), there is a recessed button which reboots your audio system. Use a paper clip or something similar to insert and depress that button. Hold for about 3 secs. [You should perform this activity with the car running or in standby mode.] After you release the button it will take ~ 3 -5 sec and the audio system will reboot. When you turn the radio on you will immediately get sound again.
I did as you said & still no sound
I had the same problem with my 2012 sonata and by removing the radio fuse and re- inserting it in the fuse panel that took care of the problem the speakers came back on thank you so much for this advice.
i have the same problem with my 2012 sonata the sound is not workiung but the radio is playing just no sound and i know it dont have a short because after a few hours it started playing again then when back off. is there a recall on this does anyone know?

I have a 2009 with the same problem. On the drivers side, at the end of the dash is the inside fuse box. I located the audio/radio fuse using the diagram on the back of the panel door. I pulled it out for at least 10 seconds, then replaced it and turned the radio back on. Everything worked.
