If I unplug my transfer case on my 2005 AWD Dodge Durango Hemi, will it still run?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Been told if I unplug it, the vehicle will stay in neutral because it is AWD.  Has
anyone had there's engage while driving down the road?  I understand that they
light flashes, but has it actually engaged?  Mine only engages when I am
turning tight (Like in a parking lot)

Yes you can. Mine was stuck in 4WD for weeks...until I hit a huge pothole. I immediately pulled up onto a curb, unplugged it and have been driving it like that ever since with no problems.

I unplugged the fuse for the TC, but the light still flashes and makes the engaging sound. Either the fuse box is labeled wrong or something.

I unplugged the actual wiring harness clip at the transfer case motor. Just wrap it so no dust gets in there, tie it up and go
