Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Hummer H2 a/c does not come on immediately after edging starts. I
start rolling down the street and then it comes on! Is there something I can do
to have it come on when selected after engine straits! It blows cold once it
does begin!

Some cars will not immediately blow air from the A/C until a sensor determines it is cold enough. If you're starting the car in hot weather, it will not immediately blow air because it would make the passengers miserable to feel hot air blow from the vents.

Thanks... The AC does blow cold and does get to 59 degrees! Thank you for the answer!

My pleasure. If your car does have that feature, it should do the same thing when you turn on the heater in cold weather. Rather than blow cold are on cold passengers, the car's engine will heat up first, then begin to blow warm air on the cold passengers. It might take several minutes before warm air begins to come out of the vents!
