Front Passenger Window

Asked by Austin Sep 16, 2020 at 06:35 PM about the 2012 Chrysler 200 LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Passenger window won't go up when using window
switch on either driver side or passenger side. First
noticed when one day I started the vehicle and none
of the dash gauges worked, then after a few moments
they began working and when I tried to roll down
windows they all went down when using the switch
but when I tried to roll them up all but the passenger
side front door went up.

It sounds like a wiring problem. 1st. Check all your fuses to make sure they are working correctly. Replace damaged, broken or burned ones. Try starting and check the gauges and window again. 2nd Check your battery connections and make sure it is cleaned and that the battery doesn't have any failing or dead cells, and that is putting out the right amps according to the dealer guide. Try again starting and check the gauges and window again. If still not working, you need someone who can deal with the electrical and wiring system. My windows usually just need a new motor, but when it come too wiring problems, I go to a shop or dealer.
