The engine on my 2006 dodge charger was replaced about 2 years ago. The check engine light came on today as i was driving home from work. What could be the reason for this?

One of the many engine systems has failed. Get the codes read at the parts store.

also could be a maintenance indicator or just a glitch, but you do need to get the codes read.
