06 charger rt problems

Asked by Huntridg Jun 12, 2019 at 04:43 PM about the 2006 Dodge Charger R/T RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Been having lots of problems with a misfire code
and was looking for some help. 147k miles. It has
been stalling at idle and when I'm driving around 1k
rpm it will stall for a second and go back to
normal. Lately I've been having a misfire come up
and have tried replacing all plugs and the coil on
the cylinder the code was pulling up as a misfire.
Didn't work. Replaced fuel pump, egr valve, throttle
body. Thinking maybe the catalytic converter could
be clogged from oil but no idea. I will add some
pictures.

For catalytic convertor look at YouTube to check with laser thermometer . should b hotter downstream, etc.

Make this easy for you remove your exhaust take your Cadillac converters and to be cleaned if you already replaced the fuel pumps that's good if you already placed a fuel injectors that's a good thing take your intake off and clean it spread down with the Degreaser in the inside take it to a car wash use a power hose and clean it out and put new O2 sensors on there I have the same problem I got rid of it
