HELP WITH POWER LOCKS, CHILD SAFETY ISSUE

Question type: General

I have a problem with the power locks on my 2012 Kia Sedona, in that I can lock them okay, but any passenger can unlock them by just pulling the door handle. My last Sedona, a 2005 model, had driver controls on the locks and if I didn't want anyone getting out, I could lock it up and no passenger could open a door except from the driver's door control or by manually flipping a lock button on the door. That's gone on the 2012 model..  Does anyone know how I can lock the doors and keep them locked, so a passenger can't trip the handle and fall out, and also keep them from opening the door from within the van? I do not have child safety locks on the front passenger door, only on the back sliders, and I don't know whose bright idea it was to only put a key lock on the outside of the driver's door alone!  If it ever gets jammed and the keyless entry becomes disabled, for whatever reason, no one could get in.. unless there was a small, hyperactive child inside, who could easily flip the door handle and let you right in!

Some cars have switch in the door jamb itself. open the door and see if there is anything marked in the door jamb or check the owner manual.
