With a new engine do you need a trans flush

I got a new engine and they said I need a trans
flush but I thought that the trans and engine is all in
one but I can be wrong.

The transaxle is a separate component attached to the engine, While everything is apart, it is good practice to change the fluid if it wasn't done within 30 to 50K miles.
