My engine light came on went to Auto zone print out just says transmission.
There probably is not a dip stick. Just take it to a shop to have it checked. If you are having transmission problems, it should be brought to a transmission shop for proper diagnosis.
The CVT transmission dipstick on your 2011 Altima is located 13 inches to the right of the engine oil dipstick. It has a mechanical tab lock to secure it in place - you'll need a screwdriver to depress the locking tab so the dipstick can be pulled out. If the level of the CVT fluid is at or below the "lower" mark, adding some CVT fluid will probably resolve your check engine issue. Check your owners manual for the correct Nissan CVT fluid. DO NOT use regular ATF fluid, as this will damage the CVT.
