my 1995 Chrysler cirrus car WON'T start

When I turn my key to start my car it
makes no sound at all. When I try to jump
it it almost starts but doesn't but my
lights & radio work . then when I take the
jumper cables off & try to start it it
makes no sound when I try to start it
with the key & there is no radio or lights
again its just dead
