Hyundai engine issues?

Asked by Guru9DCZP5 Nov 04, 2020 at 01:16 PM about the 2012 Hyundai Accent SE 4-Door Hatchback FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am reading all of these posts and the same
thing just happened to my 2012 Accent. No
pre-warning that oil was low and then started
making a loud ticking sound. Got home
checked oil and NONE! I am the original
owner purchased car from Hyundai in
Petaluma, CA. I have all maintenance records
and I purchased the extended warranty but of
course it ran out at 100k and car has 112k
miles and even though there are known
engine problems because my model is not
included in the recall they won’t do anything. I
have talked to the dealer and customer care. I
asked for corporates number and was told
there is no phone number just a POB??? I
now regret giving Hyundai a chance in 2012
when shopping for a new car.
