Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 ram 1500 4x4. I got the oil changed at big o
tires a while ago well. They drained the oil but didnt put any
new in. I drove 64 miles before i found out, because the
engine felt like it seized up. But i got the crankshaft to
move so its no seized. But all it will do no is click but not
start. All the lights, stereo, accessories will all work but no
crank at all. Someone help?

Once everything cooled down you are able to move the Crank shaft but I would have to say if you went 64 miles it's junk... I suggest you sue big o tires

I called and told big o tires and all they told me was once i left the lot and signed the receipt it was my fault.

File small claims... You paid for oil change which the last I checked includes oil..

this is y i do my own oil and you have a blown engine man your ganna have to replace it sounds like but for free since they didnt put oil in it congrazts for you man

Sue them. They provided a service which was faulty. Threaten and they will fold. If not park out front with a sign that says they ruined your motor, they will settle. I can guarantee they have insurance to cover such things.

BTW I think this is well past small claims as the cost of a new motor installed may be close to ten grand. Get a Dodge dealer to quote a new engine and wave that in their faces!

Take this article with you next time you go back and assure them that a lot of people on this site are truly professional mechanics and we get pissed off when assholes like these give us a bad name. I'm a ASE Certified Master and can prove it. They owe you a new engine and don't let big o tires change it. Let us know how you turn out.
