Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So all of a sudden my Jeep is stuck in neutral and will not start.  We haven't had any issues to date with this vehicle, but have only owned it for a year.  There's about 55k miles on it.  Any idea what could be wrong?

Can you hear the trans shifting as you move shifter? click, click, click? Or does shifter just kinda float? If floats I would look at shifter cable. Poss. popped off. If ckicks, I would be looking at the shifter.

The problem is the car won't start. Probably because the CPU thinks it is not in park. How do we fix that.
