Brakes on 2001 Chrysler Concorde

I have a 2001 Chrysler Concorde and need to know
what this part is. It's a silver box that the master
cylinder brake lines run to and it has brake lines
that run from it to the calipers. Can anyone identify
this part?

Brake pressure proportioning valve. What it does is decrease brake pressure of the rear wheels under rapid deceleration to avoid rear wheel skidding and loss of control. Normal stopping is about 60% front and 40 % back. Trying to stop quickly changes the proportion of brake pressure to 80% front and 20% back .
