Asked by Tom Sep 06, 2020 at 05:50 PM about the 2011 Kia Sorento Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

out of the blue the car started blowing cool, not cold, air from the passenger
side and hot air from the drivers side. Checked fuses and the operation of all
other vents change when selected from the lower mid or defrost mode so i am
stumped as to why?

Same thing just happened with my KIA Sorento 2011. Also interested in feedback. The dealership will charge $199 for a diagnostic check. Thanks

This might indicate that you are low on the refrigerant. Purchase the appropriate A/C recharge kit and follow the directions closely. Do NOT overfill. If in doubt, hire a professional.
