If it is cold, they it could be the battery. But do not run out and purchase one, especially is money is short. Places like autozone will test the battery for free.

have you considered checking the fuse for the fuel pump? Are getting crank and start confused?? Because, really, if the pump is shot and you are not getting any fuel to the block, then I'd replace that fuse for the gas pump ( should be the yellow 20 A near side). On a cold morning, sure, I'd give the pump a good few seconds to pressurize the gas system to get it going where it needs to be. You cannot expect it in the the cold to just turn the key over and it starts right up. forget it.
