Escape motor to explorer body?

Can I put a 02 escape motor in a 00 explorer

I believe 2000 was the year they replaced the 4.0 OHV V6 with the 4.0 SOHC V6. Some left over 4.0 OHV engines were used in early production date 2000's. If you have an OHV V6, simplest thing to do is look for a 99 or earlier V6.
