How wide of a tire can I go on stock rims?

Asked by GuruYCFW9 Jun 12, 2018 at 12:51 PM about the 2000 BMW 3 Series 328Ci Coupe RWD

Question type: Car Customization

It currently calls for 205 55 16 but I'm running 205 50 5/16
in the front and 225 55 16 in the rear and I'm wondering
how wide of a tire can I run on the back before I have to run
a wider rim.

You do not say how wide your wheels are. Tire manufacturers rate their tires for the maximum/minimum wheel width which your tire shop should be able to look up. I will post a guide to tire/wheel width.
