What turns on the radiator fans on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring 2.7

Car overheating. Fans not coming, replaced relays. Temp gage reads fine.

There is a temperature sensor. Also check the relay and fuse. Explain how the car overheats but the gauge reads fine?

Perhaps poorly stated, what I mentioned was that the gage operates. I wasn't sure if the sensor for the fans was also what the Guage was reading from.
