2004 crossfire died out of nowhere, now won't start and starter is runaway

after 30 mile drive no prob car dies, when I try to start it the starter engages as soon as
key is on, no clutch needed.  Today while investigating this I notice the radio comes on
when key turned on.  I never listen to the radio so I know I'm not turning it on.  Turn it
off try again radio comes on starter engages.  Im changing the crank sensor to see if
thats causing it not to start but the runaway starter I can't explain and both happened
together.  I also discovered an o2 sensor wire broken but that shouldn't affect this

Lock rod that activates ignition sw is broken and catches inside cylinder thus the ever running starter. The part you need if you could get it is like 3.00. However they will sell you a complete steering column. Said part can be got out of ANY 00- 07 dodge/chrysler product. Repair time is 1 hr w proper tools.
