2012 VW CC touch screen is blank with red line through it. Radio still works.

It was below zero this morning when I started my car. The touchscreen display is blank with a red line through it. The radio works and I can still change the stations and volume with the steering wheel controls and the touchscreen. Just can't see it. Never had any problems with it until this morning. Would the extreme cold have anything to do with it?

Cold can be really rough on electronics. Does it work properly once the car warms up inside?
