My 2012 Lincoln mkz is on limp mode how do I bypass it

You don't by pass it. The car is in limp mode due to a serious problem with your engine. Limp mode allows you to get the car to a safe place rather than just shutting down. Get the codes read so you know what is wrong.

Yup, it needs to go to the dealership. You could try to disconnect and reconnect the battery and that may clear the fault. Which engine does your MKZ have?
