Level System Control Malfunction

I have a 2012 BMW X5 that continues to say "level control system
malfunction" and the rear suspension is riding low on both sides. My fuses are
intact and I can hear my car (what I think to be the compressor) when I start it,
the back just does not raise at all. What else could the issue be, that I could
possibly fix myself?

Make sure there are no leaks in the springs or the air lines. It may be helpful to check for error codes as well with INPA, ISTA, or another diagnostic program.
