There is a piece of trim along the top of the gate, remove it carefully and you will find two locking nut, along with the 2 on the outside of the trim near the top. Remove these 4 nuts and the entire black bar that houses the third brake light comes off. Disconnect the wire for the light and the hose for the window washer and the bar comes off the car. Two screws hold the light in the bar. This is a sealed unit and must be purchased at a dealer or ebay.
